My Wi-Fi is 5GHz Only — How Do I Connect the AUSLOCK Gateway?
Most smart lock Wi-Fi gateways/bridges require 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If your router is “5GHz only”, the gateway usually won’t connect until 2.4GHz is enabled.
Fast solutions (choose one)
- Enable 2.4GHz on your router (recommended).
- Create a separate 2.4GHz network name (SSID), e.g. HomeWiFi-2.4.
- Use a dedicated 2.4GHz guest network if your router supports it.
Setup checklist (avoid common issues)
- Keep the gateway close to the router during pairing.
- Use the correct Wi-Fi password (watch spaces/special characters).
- After pairing, move the gateway closer to the lock for best performance.
Troubleshooting
- Won’t connect: temporarily disable “Smart Connect” / band steering and try again.
- Drops out: move the gateway away from metal cabinets and closer to the router.
