Short answer: Yes — the AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway (Bridge) must be powered on to work.
Your AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway enables remote access (lock/unlock, logs, codes, notifications) when you are away from the door. For it to stay online, it needs constant power.
How to power the AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway
- Plug the gateway’s USB cable into the gateway.
- Connect the other end to a USB wall adapter (recommended) or a powered USB outlet.
- Place the gateway within reliable range of your router (2.4GHz Wi-Fi) and the lock.
Best power setup (recommended)
- Use a quality USB wall adapter (steady power).
- Avoid “loose” powerboards or unstable USB ports on TVs/monitors.
- Keep it powered 24/7 for reliable remote unlock and notifications.
If your gateway keeps going offline
- Try a different USB adapter.
- Try a different power point.
- Move it closer to your router (and not inside metal cabinets).
Next step: If you haven’t enabled remote features yet, ensure Remote Access is turned on in the AUSLOCK App and the gateway is paired to your lock.
