AUSLOCK Lockout After Incorrect Codes (How Long + Can You Disable It?)

Shane Bleakley |

What happens after multiple incorrect attempts

Most smart locks will temporarily disable keypad attempts after repeated incorrect entries to prevent brute-force guessing.

What to do during lockout

  • Wait for the lockout period to end (varies by model/settings)
  • Use an admin method (app, fingerprint, card/fob, mechanical key) if available
  • Avoid repeated attempts—this can extend the lockout

Can it be disabled?

Some models allow security sensitivity adjustments. If your lock supports it, it will be under security settings in the AUSLOCK App.

Recommendation: Keep lockout enabled for security, especially on rentals and external doors.
