AUSLOCK Privacy Switch Explained (What It Does + When to Use It)

Mergim Hoxha |

A Privacy Switch adds an extra layer of control by restricting access (model dependent).

When enabled, Privacy Mode may block certain unlocking methods or limit non-admin users.

What it’s used for

  • Extra privacy when you’re home
  • Restricting guest/staff access temporarily
  • Reducing accidental entry during certain hours

How it typically works

  • Turn ON: restricts access (varies by model)
  • Turn OFF: returns lock to normal operating mode

Important

Because behaviour varies by model, test your lock while the door is open so you don’t lock yourself out.
