How to Configure the AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway (Remote Access Setup)

Want to unlock your AUSLOCK smart lock remotely, manage access codes from anywhere, or connect to PMS/integrations? You’ll need the AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway connected to your lock in the AUSLOCK App (TTLock ecosystem). This guide walks you through the full setup.

What you’ll need (Prerequisites)

  • AUSLOCK smart lock already added and working in the AUSLOCK App (admin account).
  • AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway and a USB power source (don’t plug it in yet).
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name + password (most routers have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz — you must use 2.4GHz).
  • Strong Wi-Fi signal where the gateway will live.
  • Place the gateway roughly 3–7 metres from the lock (closer is better, fewer walls/obstructions).
Pro tip: If your Wi-Fi name is shared for both bands, temporarily create a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID on your router while pairing, then keep it for reliability.

Step 1 — Put the Gateway into pairing mode

  1. Open the AUSLOCK App.
  2. Plug the Wi-Fi Gateway into power.
  3. Confirm the gateway’s indicator light is flashing (pairing mode).

Important: The gateway is typically in pairing mode for about 60 seconds after power-on — do the next steps within that window.

Step 2 — Add the Gateway inside the AUSLOCK App

  1. In the AUSLOCK App, tap + (Add).
  2. Select Gateway and choose G2 (Wi-Fi) (or the Wi-Fi gateway option shown).
  3. Tap Next.
  4. When the app finds the gateway, tap the + next to the correct device.
  5. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  6. Wait for confirmation — pairing is complete.

Step 3 — Confirm your lock is linked to the Gateway

  1. In the AUSLOCK App, open your lock.
  2. Go to Settings and look for Gateway (or connected gateways list).
  3. Confirm the gateway appears as connected.

Step 4 — Enable Remote Unlock (Required for remote control)

To unlock from anywhere (and to make many integrations work), turn on Remote Unlock:

  1. Open the AUSLOCK App and select the lock.
  2. Go to Settings → Remote Unlock.
  3. Tap Turn On.
Why this matters: Remote Unlock uses the Wi-Fi Gateway to securely relay commands when you’re not near the lock.

Step 5 — Test remote locking/unlocking

  1. Turn Bluetooth off on your phone (to force remote path) OR step away from the lock.
  2. Use the app to Lock and Unlock.
  3. Allow a few seconds for the command and status update to complete.

Troubleshooting

  • Gateway not found in app: unplug/replug and retry immediately (pairing window is short). Move closer to router.
  • Wrong Wi-Fi band: must be 2.4GHz (5GHz won’t pair).
  • Slow or unstable remote control: move gateway closer to the lock and reduce walls/obstructions between them.
  • Gateway reboot delay: after restarting, it can take a couple minutes to return to normal operation.
  • Remote Unlock toggle missing/greyed out: confirm the lock is connected to the gateway first, then refresh the lock screen.
