Remove a Faulty/Damaged Lock from the AUSLOCK App (Delete from Account)

If a lock has been replaced, is damaged, or is permanently malfunctioning, you can remove it from your AUSLOCK App account. This cleans up your lock list and prevents confusion for users and property managers.

Important notes (read first)

  • This option is designed for faulty/damaged locks you no longer use.
  • If you’re handing the lock to another owner/manager, use Transfer Lock instead.
  • You typically need to be the Admin/Owner to remove a lock.
Tip: If you’re upgrading to a new lock, do this in the best order: Import data → test new lock → then remove the old faulty/damaged lock.

Step-by-step: delete/remove the faulty lock

  1. Open the AUSLOCK App.
  2. Go to App Settings.
  3. Tap Transfer Lock(s).
  4. Select the lock you want to remove.
  5. Tap Remove the malfunctioning lock.

This matches the official workflow: Settings → Transfer Lock(s) → select lock → “Remove the malfunctioning lock”.

Common questions

What if I can’t see “Remove the malfunctioning lock”?

  • Confirm you’re logged in as the Admin/Owner (not a shared/eKey user).
  • Update the AUSLOCK App to the latest version.
  • Try again from App Settings → Transfer Lock(s).

Does removing the lock delete my access data?

Removing the lock clears it from your account list. If you still need user codes/eKeys for a replacement lock, import data to the new lock first (where supported).
