Connect AUSLOCK to Google Home (Google Assistant Voice Control)
You can connect AUSLOCK smart locks to Google Home so you can control your lock with Google Assistant voice commands. This setup runs through the AUSLOCK-supported app (TTLock ecosystem) using the Work With → Google Home connection flow.
What you need before you start
- AUSLOCK App account (Admin/Owner recommended for setup).
- Lock added to your AUSLOCK App and working normally.
- Wi-Fi Gateway connected (recommended for reliable smart-home control and remote connectivity).
- Google Home app installed and signed in.
Step 1 — Enable Google Home inside the AUSLOCK App
- Open the AUSLOCK App.
- Tap the menu (top-left).
- Tap the last option: Work With.
- Select Google Home.
- Tap Turn On and create a passcode you will remember (you’ll use this during linking/commands).
This follows the official flow: Menu → Work With → Google Home → Turn On → set a passcode.
Step 2 — Add AUSLOCK into the Google Home app
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap + (Add) → Set up device.
- Choose Works with Google.
- Search and select the relevant smart lock connection (the app will guide you through account linking).
- Sign in with the same AUSLOCK App account you used above.
- Assign the lock to a Home and Room for easy voice control.
Common voice commands to use
- “Hey Google, lock the front door.”
- “Hey Google, is the front door locked?”
For security, Google may restrict certain unlock actions by voice depending on your device settings and account configuration.
Troubleshooting (fast fixes)
- Google Home option not visible in AUSLOCK App: update the AUSLOCK App, log out/in, then check Menu → Work With again.
- Device won’t link: confirm you’re using the correct AUSLOCK App login (same account that owns the lock).
- Lock not responding: confirm the Wi-Fi Gateway is online and close enough to the lock.
- Commands inconsistent: re-assign the lock to the correct Room in Google Home and try again.
- Still stuck: remove the integration in Google Home, then repeat Step 1 and Step 2 from scratch.
