Case Study: Using a Shared AUSLOCK Account in a Business Setting

Mergim Hoxha |

Shared logins work — but they reduce accountability.

For businesses, the best approach is usually: 1 admin owner plus individual user access (codes, eKeys, cards, fingerprints) so activity remains traceable.

Recommended business structure

  • One admin account controls the lock
  • Staff get individual access methods (unique code/fingerprint/card)
  • Remove staff access immediately when roles change

Why not share admin login?

  • Harder to audit “who changed what”
  • Higher risk if password is reused or leaked
