AUSLOCK Gateway (G3 PoE) — Ethernet/PoE Setup for Reliable Remote Access
The AUSLOCK G3 PoE Gateway is designed for sites where Wi-Fi is unreliable or you want a cleaner commercial setup. Using Ethernet/PoE can improve stability in apartments, offices, and managed buildings.
Why choose PoE/Ethernet?
- More stable connection than Wi-Fi in many buildings
- Cleaner installs (one cable can provide data + power)
- Great for commercial deployments and multi-lock sites
Setup steps
- Connect Ethernet (and PoE if available) to the gateway.
- Power on the gateway (PoE or USB power depending on your setup).
- Open AUSLOCK app → Gateways → Add Gateway.
- Follow pairing prompts and ensure the gateway comes online.
- Bind the gateway to the lock(s).
- Test Remote Unlock and confirm logs update.
Placement rules
- Even with Ethernet, the gateway must still be within Bluetooth reach of the lock.
- Avoid mounting behind metal panels that block Bluetooth signal.
Troubleshooting
- Not coming online: confirm PoE is enabled on the switch/injector, and try a different Ethernet cable.
- Remote unlock missing: confirm binding + Admin login.
