AUSLOCK Gateway (G3 PoE) — Ethernet/PoE Setup for Reliable Remote Access

The AUSLOCK G3 PoE Gateway is designed for sites where Wi-Fi is unreliable or you want a cleaner commercial setup. Using Ethernet/PoE can improve stability in apartments, offices, and managed buildings.

Why choose PoE/Ethernet?

  • More stable connection than Wi-Fi in many buildings
  • Cleaner installs (one cable can provide data + power)
  • Great for commercial deployments and multi-lock sites

Setup steps

  1. Connect Ethernet (and PoE if available) to the gateway.
  2. Power on the gateway (PoE or USB power depending on your setup).
  3. Open AUSLOCK appGatewaysAdd Gateway.
  4. Follow pairing prompts and ensure the gateway comes online.
  5. Bind the gateway to the lock(s).
  6. Test Remote Unlock and confirm logs update.

Placement rules

  • Even with Ethernet, the gateway must still be within Bluetooth reach of the lock.
  • Avoid mounting behind metal panels that block Bluetooth signal.

Troubleshooting

  • Not coming online: confirm PoE is enabled on the switch/injector, and try a different Ethernet cable.
  • Remote unlock missing: confirm binding + Admin login.
