Multipoint Door Compatibility (3-Point / 4-Point) | AUSLOCK Smart Locks

Mergim Hoxha |

Does any AUSLOCK smart lock work with a multipoint locking system?

Multipoint doors (e.g. 3-point or 4-point) can be compatible with smart locking, but it depends on your door hardware and how the multipoint mechanism is driven (handle lift, key turn, internal gearbox, etc.).

What matters most

  • How the multipoint engages: handle-lift vs key-driven
  • Lock body style: mortise / gearbox / latch format
  • Door thickness and existing cut-outs
  • Backset and spindle position

Quick rule of thumb

If your door requires you to lift the handle to engage the multipoint points, you’ll want a smart lock solution that supports that style of operation.

What to send support (fastest way to confirm)

  • Photo of the door edge showing the multipoint strip
  • Photo of the internal handle/lock area
  • Measurements: door thickness, backset, centre-to-centre
  • Tell us if you must lift the handle to lock
