AUSLOCK + Uplisting: Auto Guest Codes

This workflow automates guest access: Uplisting creates a unique door code per reservation and inserts it into automated guest messages. If you’re running short-stay properties, this is one of the cleanest “set-and-forget” setups.

Integration reference: Uplisting TTLock integration page

What you’ll achieve

  • Unique door codes per booking
  • Automatic delivery in guest messages
  • Less manual check-in coordination
  • Cleaner access control across multiple listings

Before you start (checklist)

  • AUSLOCK App: Lock is added as Admin and works locally (Bluetooth).
  • Time & timezone: Confirm lock time/timezone are correct (prevents schedule problems).
  • Remote access: For off-site syncing and consistent automation, set up a Wi-Fi Gateway/Hub (recommended).

Gateway / Remote Access (recommended for automation)

Scheduled codes and off-site updates often require a gateway. Without a gateway, the lock may only update reliably when you are near it (Bluetooth range).

  1. Wi-Fi: Ensure you have 2.4GHz Wi-Fi available.
  2. Placement: Plug the gateway in close to the lock (same room is best).
  3. Add gateway: AUSLOCK App → Gateway+ → select gateway type → power it on.
  4. Pair: Tap Add → choose your 2.4GHz SSID → enter password → name the gateway.
  5. Bind lock: Link/bind the lock to the gateway inside gateway/lock settings.
  6. Enable Remote Unlock: Lock → SettingsRemote Unlock → turn ON.
  7. Test: Turn Bluetooth OFF (or step away), use mobile data, then test remote unlock in the AUSLOCK App.

Uplisting setup (high-level steps)

  1. Open Uplisting → Integrations → connect the TTLock ecosystem option.
  2. Authorize the connection and choose the correct account/workspace.
  3. Map each lock to the correct listing/property.
  4. Create a test booking and confirm the code is created and delivered in the guest message.

Best practice: message templates

Make sure your “door code” variable/merge tag is included in:

  • Check-in instructions
  • Arrival message (day of check-in)
  • Backup message (sent a few hours before check-in)

Troubleshooting (fast fixes)

  • Codes created at the wrong time: check lock timezone in AUSLOCK App and property timezone in Uplisting.
  • Codes not syncing when you’re off-site: confirm gateway is online and the lock is bound to the gateway.
  • Guest can’t unlock: verify code length/validity window, then test from the lock keypad and in-app logs.
