Changed Internet Provider? Reconfigure AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway & Remote Access

Short answer

Yes—if your Wi-Fi name/password changed, your AUSLOCK Wi-Fi gateway must be reconnected to the new network.

What changed?

  • New modem/router (even same provider)
  • New Wi-Fi name (SSID) or password
  • New router settings (2.4GHz disabled, band steering)

Fix steps

  1. Confirm your router has 2.4GHz Wi-Fi enabled.
  2. Power cycle the gateway (unplug 10 seconds → plug back in).
  3. In the AUSLOCK App, open gateway settings and re-pair / re-add the gateway to the new Wi-Fi network.
  4. Wait 2–5 minutes, then refresh lock status.

Best practice

Use a stable 2.4GHz network name and avoid frequent password changes for rental/remote setups.
