How to Lock & Unlock Your AUSLOCK Remotely (Wi-Fi Gateway Required)

Remote locking and unlocking lets you control your AUSLOCK from anywhere — ideal for guest access, staff access, and property management. To use remote control, your lock must be connected to an AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway and Remote Unlock must be enabled in the AUSLOCK-supported app (TTLock ecosystem).

Prerequisites (do this first)

  • Wi-Fi Gateway installed: Your AUSLOCK Wi-Fi Gateway must be paired in the app and connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Gateway linked to the lock: The gateway should show as connected/online for that lock.
  • Remote Unlock enabled: In your lock settings, turn Remote Unlock ON.
Tip: If remote control isn’t working, 90% of the time it’s one of these: gateway offline, wrong Wi-Fi band (must be 2.4GHz), or Remote Unlock not enabled.

How to unlock remotely

  1. Open the app and go to your lock’s Dashboard screen.
  2. Tap the small Wi-Fi padlock icon.
  3. Select Remote Unlock.
  4. You should see the Wi-Fi padlock appear next to the main lock icon — confirm the door unlocks.

How to lock remotely

  1. Open the app and go to your lock’s Dashboard screen.
  2. Press and hold the main lock (padlock) icon until it triggers the lock action.

If the Wi-Fi padlock icon is missing (quick fixes)

  • Check the gateway is online: In the app, confirm the gateway is connected and not offline.
  • Enable Remote Unlock: Go to Lock Settings → Remote Unlock and switch it ON.
  • Confirm 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: Gateways typically require 2.4GHz (5GHz often won’t work).
  • Move the gateway closer: During testing, place the gateway closer to the lock (fewer walls/metal between them).
  • Restart: Power-cycle the gateway and refresh the lock screen in the app.

Best practice checklist (for reliable remote access)

  • Keep the gateway in a stable location with strong Wi-Fi signal.
  • Use a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID if your router combines bands.
  • Ensure the admin account owns the lock (permissions matter for integrations).
  • Confirm the lock time/timezone is correct (helps scheduled access and automation).
