AUSLOCK Doesn’t Fully Retract (Intermittent Unlock Failure Fix)

Symptoms

• Unlock works sometimes, fails other times
• You hear the motor but latch/deadbolt doesn’t retract fully
• Door opens only if you pull/push the door

Fix steps (most effective order)

1. Replace batteries (fresh full set).
2. Test with door open (10 cycles).
3. If it fails closed: adjust strike plate so the bolt/latch moves freely.
4. Check door sag and weather seals (binding).
5. Re-run calibration/handing if your model supports it.

Do not keep forcing repeated attempts — fix the friction to prevent wear.
