AUSLOCK Passage Mode (Keep the Door Unlocked When Needed)

Passage Mode keeps your AUSLOCK unlocked for a period of time — perfect for shops, offices, events, move-ins, or when you’re going in and out frequently. You can usually turn it on/off anytime, and on many models you can also schedule it to run only during certain hours.

Before you enable Passage Mode

  • Use the Admin/Owner account for full settings access.
  • Confirm the lock time/timezone is correct (important for schedules).
  • Understand the risk: during Passage Mode, the door can be opened without authentication (depends on lock/door latch).
Best practice: Use Passage Mode only when you’re expecting traffic (business hours), then turn it off outside those hours.

How to turn Passage Mode ON (basic)

  1. Open the AUSLOCK-supported app.
  2. Select your lock.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Tap Passage Mode.
  5. Switch ON.

If your model supports it, you may also see options to choose Always On or a time schedule.

How to schedule Passage Mode (business hours)

If scheduling is available on your lock/app version:

  1. Open Settings → Passage Mode.
  2. Select Timed / Scheduled (or “Period”).
  3. Choose the days (Mon–Sun) and set the start/end time.
  4. Save/confirm.

Tip: If your schedule behaves oddly, fix the lock time/timezone first — it’s the #1 cause of schedule issues.

How to turn Passage Mode OFF

  1. Open the lock in the app.
  2. Go to Settings → Passage Mode.
  3. Switch it OFF (or disable the schedule).

Passage Mode vs Auto-Lock (important difference)

  • Auto-Lock: The lock re-locks automatically after a set delay (e.g., 5–10 seconds).
  • Passage Mode: The lock stays unlocked continuously (until you turn it off or the schedule ends).

Troubleshooting

  • I can’t find Passage Mode: some models don’t support it, or it appears only under Admin settings.
  • Schedule isn’t working: confirm lock time/timezone and re-save the schedule.
  • Door still locks sometimes: check if Auto-Lock is enabled; disable Auto-Lock if you want “always unlocked.”
  • Remote updates not syncing: if you’re changing settings offsite, a Wi-Fi Gateway may be required depending on model.
