Add New Users to AUSLOCK (PIN Codes, Fingerprints, Cards/Fobs & eKeys)
AUSLOCK lets you grant access in multiple ways: PIN codes, fingerprints, cards/fobs, and app access (eKeys). This guide shows the cleanest way to add users and manage access safely in the AUSLOCK-supported app (TTLock ecosystem).
Before you start (important)
- Use the Admin/Owner account (highest permissions).
- Stand close to the lock for enrolment steps (cards/fobs and fingerprints are often near-the-lock operations). :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
- For timed access (cleaners/trades/guests), confirm the lock time + timezone are correct.
Option 1 — Add a user with a Passcode (PIN)
Passcodes are the fastest access method for staff, cleaners, family and regular users. You can usually choose from permanent, timed, one-time, recurring, etc. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
- Open the app and select your lock.
- Tap Passcodes (sometimes shown as Generate Passcode).
- Choose the type (Permanent / Timed / One-time / Recurring — depending on your model/app).
- Enter a name for the user and set the schedule if required.
- Create the passcode (auto-generated or custom, depending on your lock/app).
- Tap Set / Save to confirm.
Option 2 — Register a Card or Key Fob
Cards/fobs are great for staff or family who prefer tap access. This is commonly done near the lock. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}
- Open the lock in the app and tap Cards.
- Tap Add Card (often in the top-right menu).
- Select the card type (Permanent or Timed) and add a name.
- Tap OK, then tap the card/fob on the lock’s reader area to enrol it.
Tip: The same card/fob can often be enrolled across multiple locks by repeating the process on each lock.
Option 3 — Add a Fingerprint
Fingerprints are convenient for daily use and reduce shared-code risk. Fingerprint enrolment is typically done near the lock. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}
- Open the lock in the app and tap Fingerprints.
- Tap Add Fingerprint.
- Name the fingerprint and set a schedule if required.
- Follow prompts to enrol the fingerprint (usually multiple scans).
- Save/confirm once complete.
Option 4 — Send an eKey (App Access)
If someone will use the app to unlock (instead of keypad/card/fingerprint), you can send them an eKey. This gives them app-based access while you keep ownership under your Admin account. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}
- Open the lock in the app and go to eKeys / Send eKey.
- Choose the access type (time-limited or permanent, depending on your needs).
- Enter the recipient’s details and send.
- The recipient accepts and uses their own app login to access the lock.
How to remove a user (revoke access)
- PIN: open Passcodes → select the code → Delete.
- Card/Fob: open Cards → select the card → Delete.
- Fingerprint: open Fingerprints → select → Delete.
- eKey: open eKeys → revoke or delete access.
Common problems (quick fixes)
- Can’t add users: confirm you’re on the Admin/Owner account.
- Timed access not working: check lock time/timezone and ensure the schedule is correct.
- Fingerprint inconsistent: clean the sensor and enrol the same finger twice for reliability.
- Card not registering: tap the card on the reader area longer and keep the phone close during enrolment.
