AUSLOCK Preset Codes (Permanent PIN Codes for Ongoing Access)

If you want certain people to always have access — like family, staff, cleaners, or a regular contractor — you can create a preset code (also called a permanent passcode) in the AUSLOCK-supported app (TTLock ecosystem).

What is a “preset code”?

A preset code is simply a permanent PIN that stays active until you delete it. It’s best for long-term users who need ongoing access without time limits.

Best practice (do this for security)

  • Create one unique code per person (don’t share a single “staff code”).
  • Name each code clearly (example: Cleaner – Maria, Dad, Maintenance – Sam).
  • Delete or disable access immediately when someone no longer needs entry.
  • If you want access only on certain days/times, use a Timed or Recurring code (if supported).
Tip: If you manage multiple properties, preset codes reduce support issues because each person has a reliable PIN that doesn’t expire.

How to create a preset (permanent) code

  1. Open the AUSLOCK-supported app.
  2. Select your lock.
  3. Tap Passcodes (sometimes shown as Keyboard Password).
  4. Tap Add (or the + button).
  5. Select Permanent (or “Permanent Passcode”).
  6. Enter a name for the person (recommended).
  7. Create the PIN (either auto-generate or manual, depending on your lock/app).
  8. Tap Confirm / Save.

How to change or remove a preset code

  1. Open the lock in the app → go to Passcodes.
  2. Select the person’s code.
  3. Choose Edit (if available) or Delete to remove access.

Common questions

Can I make preset codes for multiple people?

Yes — create a separate permanent code for each person. This gives you better control and cleaner audit/history.

Do I need a Wi-Fi Gateway for preset codes?

Not always. Permanent codes are typically created while you’re near the lock via Bluetooth. If you want to manage codes while you’re offsite, a Wi-Fi Gateway is recommended.

What if a code works sometimes and not others?

Check lock battery level, confirm the correct keypad entry method for your model, and ensure you’re not confusing a timed code with a permanent code.
